Mealtime Tips
"We love your food, our 9 month old eats it easily and our 3 year old is having a few bites everyday (he is warming to the flavours!). We call it his Om food (making the sound last as long as possible - which he thinks is hysterical!). We talk about it making him strong and healthy. Thanks for such a great product!"

"Thank you! My daughter Lola loves your food! (I do too)"-- Kate M.
At Om Baby, we want to give you the opportunity to try new things with each serving. Add flavors they are familiar with to the first serving. You get 3 meals per packet.
- Carry it in your bag at all times. No glass to break.
- For smaller servings, take 2 tablespoons and 1 cup water and place in a large microwaveable bowl. Add 1/2 tsp. butter or oil and miicrowave for 5 minutes. Keep an eye on the meal to make sure it does not boil over the container.
- For smaller stovetop portions: Divide into thirds and add 1 1/4 cup warm/hot water. Soak for 10 minutes and boil until meal is soft.
- LENTIL PANCAKES! Pour 1/4 cup of prepared wet meal onto a non-stick skillet sprayed with a little olive oil and spread into a round pancake. Flip when the bottom is crisp and golden brown. Lightly cook the other side and serve with yogurt, ketchup or dressing of choice.
- For children under 9 months: puree the cooked meal for a smoother texture.
- For thicker meals (if cooking entire pouch), decrease the amount of water from 2 1/2 cups to 2 1/4 cups.
- Make it and freeze it. Store up to 2 months in the freezer.
- Take it camping or on your next vacation. Just need boiling water and butter or oil.
- Boil with diced apples, veggies or protein of choice (ie. tofu or cooked chicken) for added variety and flavors.
- Get your kids involved. Let them open and pour the contents into a pot or add any additional ingredients you may wish to add. My son used to love eating food he "made himself".
- Stir some applesauce into the Lentils and Rice with Carrots packet. This is a favorite of many children
- Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top.
- Great for grandparents or parents who need soft easily digestible food.
- Add vegetable broth instead of water for a delicious meal
- Eat as a dip with pita or naan
- Soak the meal in a thermos with HOT water and when you arrive at your campsite or hotel, it'll either be ready to eat or it will cook in no time.
